URBREATH gained further visibility at the Thessaloniki International Fair 2026, through a video presented by project partner Anaplassis S.A., highlighting its activities and initiatives in urban regeneration and sustainable development.
The video showcased Anaplassis’ work towards improving public spaces, including the redevelopment of Vasilissis Olgas Avenue in Athens, a major urban regeneration initiative aimed at enhancing accessibility, public space and the connection between important historical and cultural landmarks in the city.
Alongside these initiatives, the video featured a dedicated section on the URBREATH Horizon Europe project, introducing visitors to its vision for greener, healthier, more inclusive and climate-resilient European cities.
The URBREATH presentation highlighted the project’s community-centred approach to sustainable urban transformation, bringing together Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), social innovation, Digital Twins and Artificial Intelligence to support urban regeneration, resilience and climate neutrality.
Visual material from project activities and stakeholder engagement initiatives further illustrated URBREATH’s collaborative approach, emphasising the importance of involving local communities, public authorities, researchers and urban stakeholders in shaping sustainable urban environments.
Presented during the Fair, held from 5–13 September 2026, the video complemented the visibility of the URBREATH Athens Pilot at the Anaplassis exhibition booth, helping introduce the project to a wider audience.
By featuring URBREATH alongside urban regeneration initiatives, the presentation highlighted the shared importance of innovative, inclusive and sustainable approaches to transforming public spaces and improving quality of life in cities.
