On 22 June 2026, Engineering Ingegneria Informatica (ENG) presented the URBREATH project and the URBREATH Toolbox at the 2nd International Workshop on Smart AI Models & Data Sharing and Monetisation (SmartAIDa 2026) in Messina, Italy. The workshop brought together researchers and practitioners to exchange knowledge on innovative approaches to Artificial Intelligence, data sharing, interoperability, and smart digital environments.

During the event, ENG introduced URBREATH’s approach to supporting greener, healthier, and more climate-resilient cities, with a particular focus on the URBREATH Toolbox and its role in supporting urban planning and decision-making. The presentation highlighted how the project combines urban data, AI, Digital Twins, and participatory approaches to help cities better understand urban challenges and support the planning and implementation of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS).

URBREATH’s participation in SmartAIDa 2026 provided an opportunity to share the project’s results with the wider research community and strengthen exchanges around the use of AI and data-driven technologies for sustainable and climate-resilient urban transformation.
