Join URBREATH in Barcelona on 3–4 November for live demonstrations, expert presentations, city pilot insights and policy dialogue on the future of sustainable cities.

Barcelona, 3–5 November 2026 – The Horizon Europe-funded URBREATH project will take an active role in Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2026, bringing together project experts, technology providers and city representatives to present innovative approaches to greener, healthier and more climate-resilient cities.

Across 3 and 4 November, URBREATH consortium members will deliver a series of scheduled presentations and live demonstrations at the exhibition booths of project partners, including the Lisbon Council, Open & Agile Smart Cities (OASC) and Digital Flanders booths, as well as at the EU Pavilion (Stand D101 – Hall 2) and the Czech Republic Pavilion (Stand D100 – Hall 3).

The project’s contributions will cover the URBREATH Toolbox, technologies supporting local digital twins, Living Labs and the Leuven pilot case. URBREATH will also contribute to a high-level panel discussion examining how collaboration and innovation can help shape sustainable cities that people love.

Bringing URBREATH’s innovations to the smart city community

URBREATH is developing an integrated approach to urban resilience and climate neutrality by combining transformative technical solutions, Nature-based Solutions and collaboration with local communities.

Its participation at SCEWC26 will provide an opportunity to present the project’s work directly to an international audience of city representatives, policymakers, researchers, technology providers and urban innovation professionals.

Rather than focusing solely on the project’s overall vision, URBREATH partners will take the stage at dedicated booth sessions to demonstrate technologies, share experiences from participating cities and discuss the practical application of the project’s solutions.

Through these presentations, attendees will be able to engage directly with the experts developing and applying URBREATH’s tools and approaches.

Joining representatives from Aarhus, Climate KIC, GDFA and OASC, he will contribute to a discussion on how cooperation, innovation and collective action can help create sustainable, inclusive and people-centred urban environments.
