URBREATH is pleased to announce its participation in the XIII AEC International Congress: Climate change and society – From basic science to climate services (22-24 January 2025) focused on advancing knowledge and solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation. Representing URBREATH, Toni Rubio España from FICLIMA will deliver a presentation that delves into innovative approaches to address pressing climate challenges. The event will convene leading experts to discuss critical topics, including climate models and scenarios, climate variability and extremes, social vulnerability to climate change, and the development of user-centered climate services.
One of the central themes of the event is the importance of high-resolution spatial-temporal data and advanced climate models to understand global warming and its effects on regional climates. This understanding is essential for territorial management and policy development. Equally vital is the need to grasp climate variability and extremes, as improving observation networks and analysing climate subsystems can inform strategies to mitigate the impact of extreme weather events. URBREATH’s work in leveraging innovative solutions to address these challenges will highlight practical approaches to bridging knowledge gaps.
