On September 6th, URBREATH cities came together for a co-creation session, focused on the deployment of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS). City representatives gathered to exchange experiences, share best practices, and explore innovative solutions for making cities greener and more resilient.
The co-creation session kicked off with a welcome and introduction, followed by a presentation from POLIMI, outlining the event’s objectives and desired outcomes. This set the stage for a series of dynamic presentations from URBREATH cities, each highlighting their NBS pilot projects. Each city was tasked with delivering a 15-minute presentation, following a structured template to ensure consistency and effective knowledge exchange.
- Tallinn and Kajaani presented in the Boreal Cities segment, showcasing how they will integrate NBS into urban planning to tackle flooding and improve green infrastructure.
- In the Atlantic Cities segment, Leuven and Aarhus discussed their innovative use of NBS to address key urban challenges.
Each presentation was followed by an engaging Q&A session, allowing participants to delve into the specific challenges and opportunities faced by the cities. The session fostered a strong exchange of ideas and insights, enabling cities to learn from each other and build on successful NBS strategies.
