The Patios x Clima 2025 conference Jornadas Barcelona 2025 patis x clima, held in Barcelona from October 8 to 10, brought together professionals, educators, architects, and environmental advocates to discuss the renaturalizing of educational spaces and their role in building healthier, more sustainable cities.
For the ninth consecutive year, the event served as a vibrant forum for reflection and collaboration—inviting participants from diverse disciplines to share ideas, projects, and strategies that connect urban design, education, and climate adaptation.
URBREATH partner Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) played an active role throughout the event. UPM presented the URBREATH project and its innovative approach to integrating nature-based solutions into urban planning and educational environments.
During a dedicated panel discussion, UPM highlighted how URBREATH contributes to the broader movement of renaturalizing public spaces, emphasizing the social and educational benefits of greener, more inclusive environments.
With around 100 participants from across sectors, the conference reaffirmed the importance of collaboration between academia, civil society, and local authorities in achieving lasting impact. URBREATH’s presence at the event reinforced the project’s commitment to creating cities that breathe—healthier, greener, and more resilient for all.
