As cities across the globe face increasing environmental and societal pressures, collaboration and innovation are becoming essential to shaping sustainable urban futures. At this year’s Climate Week Zurich, the spotlight turns to practical, participatory approaches that bring diverse stakeholders together to co-create solutions.

One of the key moments of the week will be the interactive workshop “Co-Designing Smart and Sustainable Cities”, where URBREATH will play a central role alongside fellow EU-funded initiatives.

The session, co-organised with Digital for Planet and the projects Urban-Flow and BLOSSOM, is designed to move beyond traditional presentations. Instead, participants will engage in hands-on discussions and co-design exercises that reflect real urban challenges.

URBREATH’s involvement will help guide conversations around:

  • How digital tools can enhance environmental monitoring and urban decision-making
  • Practical pathways to improve air quality and urban health
  • The role of integrated data platforms in building resilient cities
  • Scalable solutions that cities can adopt across different contexts

By contributing its knowledge and frameworks, URBREATH ensures that discussions remain grounded in actionable insights and real-world applicability.
