On 11 November 2025, the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) took part in the session 40 min con la OPI: Impacto social en proyectos Horizon Europe,” an event dedicated to helping the research community better understand how to design, implement, and measure social impact within Horizon Europe (HE) projects.

During the session, UPM presented the URBREATH project, offering an overview of its objectives, methodological approach, and emerging results, with a particular focus on how social impact has been embedded throughout the project’s lifecycle.

The event provided a valuable space for reflection on how Horizon Europe projects can maximise their societal value. URBREATH was presented as a practical example of how social impact can be intentionally designed, implemented, and measured to create meaningful change for citizens and urban communities.
