The Shadow Analysis Tool which supports cities in creating more sustainable and liveable urban environments, is attracting growing interest from regional authorities across Europe. As part of URBREATH’s exploitation and outreach activities, project partner VCS introduced the tool to the City of Hannover, which expressed in exploring the capabilities of the solution.
Originally developed to address the needs of URBREATH pilot cities, the Shadow Analysis Tool provides valuable insights into the effects of shading from buildings and urban structures, supporting better-informed urban planning decisions and enhancing the quality of public spaces. The interest from Hannover demonstrates the potential of URBREATH technologies beyond the project’s pilot sites and highlights the value of innovative digital solutions for cities seeking to become smarter, greener, and more resilient.
VCS, URBREATH partner will continue to engage with regional authorities and promote the uptake of URBREATH solutions across Europe, paving the way for broader adoption and impact.
