As cities worldwide strive for sustainability and resilience, innovative tools like digital twins are becoming essential for effective urban planning. In the context of Smart City Expo World Congress 2024 our partner City of Leuven will incorporate the URBREATH project as a case study during a specialised training session focused on digital twin technology.
The digital twin training will take place on Thursday and Friday 7 and 8 November, following the recent Eurocities conference in Barcelona. This training is organized by the Eurocities Academy in collaboration with the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS).
The sessions will cover how digital twins can simulate urban environments, facilitating better decision-making for urban planners and stakeholders. The use of URBREATH as a case study will provide participants with practical insights into applying digital twin technology in real-world scenarios.
Digital twin technology allows urban planners to create virtual replicas of physical spaces, enabling them to visualize and analyze the impact of various scenarios on city infrastructure, air quality, and community health. By integrating URBREATH into this training, participants will gain valuable knowledge on addressing environmental challenges through innovative solutions.
Stay tuned for more updates on this training and the ongoing developments in the URBREATH project!
