From 19 to 21 October 2026, the URBREATH consortium gathered in Parma, Italy, for a three-day plenary meeting, bringing together project partners to review progress, exchange experiences and coordinate the next steps towards creating greener, healthier and more climate-resilient urban environments.

The meeting provided an opportunity for partners to share updates on ongoing activities, discuss progress across the different work packages and reflect on the implementation of the project’s solutions in the pilot cities.

A key focus of the discussions was the progress of the URBREATH pilot activities and the practical aspects of implementing nature-based solutions (NbS) in urban areas. Partners exchanged insights on local needs, implementation challenges and opportunities to strengthen collaboration between the project’s technical teams and pilot cities.

The meeting also offered an opportunity to discuss the project’s digital tools, monitoring activities and approaches for assessing the impact of nature-based solutions, as well as upcoming communication, dissemination and stakeholder engagement activities.

Throughout the three days, partners worked together to identify priorities for the coming months, address challenges and ensure that the project’s different activities remain closely aligned.

The Parma meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration and knowledge exchange in turning innovative ideas into practical solutions for more sustainable and resilient cities.

Looking ahead, the URBREATH consortium will continue working towards the implementation and evaluation of its solutions, building on the progress achieved and the lessons learned across the pilot cities.
